SheerLark Farm is a diversified family farm located on Sand Mountain in northeastern Alabama. Our dream is to create and maintain a healthy, dynamic, and truly sustainable eco-system on these 58 acres in the Appalachian foothills. Through our stewardship, we strive to support our family and to offer wholesome, delicious, chemical-free foods to others in our community.
We continue to work toward our dream of sustainable diversity on our farm through our "Certified Naturally Grown" market garden. We do not use any synthetic chemical pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers in our gardens or on our pastures. Our main source of soil nutrients for our pastures is the manure produced and recycled here on the farm by our animals. In the gardens we use farm generated compost & mulches and OMRI certified Neptune's Harvest fertilizer to nourish and build our precious soils.
